About Me

Artist, Photographer, Paid Informant

So how did I get here?

I've admired the artistry and power that can be captured by a great photographer as long as I can remember. I would visit art exhibits and stare for what seemed like hours on end at other people's work and think to myself "Man, I wish I could do that!"

I envisioned myself getting into photography for several years but like a lot of people who want to try their hand at what is inherently a creative field, I was incredibly intimidated. Could a country bumpkin, though an educated one, really become an artist? I had this idea in my head that only the "Aperture Gods" from on-high have the ability to infuse normal humans with the raw talent necessary to make photographic art (and those of us who are Portal fans know... not everybody gets to eat the cake). As such, I was purposed to only be a spectator of the craft and never a participant.

The years went on and it wasn't until my mother passed away unexpectedly (and with a little encouragement from a wonderful instructor, I'm looking at you Ben Long) that I decided that I should take a chance and pursue my passion. I began to enroll in photography classes online to build my basic understanding in regards to the foundations of photography: the camera, lenses, exposure, composition, lighting and post-production. And as my knowledge grew, so did my confidence, but as we all know, the growing process never stops for an artist.

I would encourage you to take a look around my website, view my projects in the portfolio section and get a feel for both me and my work. If you find something that interests you, have a project that you think I can help with, want to grow your modeling portfolio or just want to leave me some comments please do so. Hopefully we can work together to create some unique and beautiful experiences.

Thanks for visiting,
